Amandusfall
(2016)
octophonic audiovisual work

On the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the foudning of the South German town Bad Urach, the municipality commissioned an audiovisual work from composer Rainer Bürck and video artist Jürgen Meier. Jürgen Meier projected processed video recordings of the Bad Urach waterfall onto the tower of the St Amandus Church. Rainer Bürck contributed an octophonic electroacoustic work, processing recordings of water, bells and a Gregorian Alleluja. This work was premiered on 3 October 2016 on the square in front of the church tower and achieved spectacular public attention among a large audience and in the press.
